![]() Establishing Shot 1We informed the Year 12's our idea of beginning the music video with establishing shots of the city in order to let the audience know where this music video is taking place. It's also a very beautiful shot to incorporate into our piece so I liked that a lot. | ![]() Establishing Shot 2We also put the title over the shot because I thought that to looked a lot more authentic and quite cool, it is also really straight to the point and informs the audience exactly what the is music video is called. | ![]() Southbank SkateparkWe also informed the Year 12's of our idea to go to Southbank skatepark to create the young, urban and grunge atmosphere we were trying to create. It was actually a really cool place covered in graffiti which added to the vibrant colour of the skatepark. |

![]() ChemistryWe wanted to evoke the couple's chemistry through their friendship, both Stream and Yusupha are friends in real life which made it easier for them to act together without looking or feeling awkward. | ![]() Record StoreWe visited a record store which was really upbeat and vibrant and furthermore added to the young atmosphere we wanted to create. | ![]() BruisesWe used stage make-up to create the image of Stream with a black eye and bruised lip to emphasise the domestic violence taking place in this relationship. It came out the way we wanted it to which was good and it was really authentic. |
![]() SilhouetteIn order to create this shot we unfocused the camera to make them both look more like shadows and it also makes the shot seem a lot more intimate. | ![]() OpacityThis shot was taken in a bathtub, and when editing, I put two different shots on top of each other and changed the opacity to create a really haunting image of Stream's inner demons. | ![]() CastingCasting wise we chose Stream and Yusupha because they are friends in real life which meant that they were comfortable working together and wouldn't project awkwardness on camera. |
Here are a few of the questions we asked the Year 12's after pitching our ideas, As you can see the majority were in favour of using lighting techniques when editing in order to make it feel more young and vibrant and they also thought that our idea fitted well with our song which was definetly important. The majority also agreed with screen-testing our cast members because it would help the video feel a lot more real and relatable and you would also believe the characters are in love which is our main purpose of our video.
