HOW I CREATED MY DIGI-PAK

Here is a video I created instructing how I created my first Digi-Pack cover. Hope you enjoy.

For my Digi-pak i was inspired by Album covers such as "Foals, Antidotes" because I liked the idea of having an image of a teenager throwing up loads of teenage waste with the album name coming out of their mouth. I was also inspired by "Christina Aguilera, Bionic" Album because for my front cover I wanted a of a  silhouette with an animal coming out of it or on top of it like a mask.

INSPIRATION FOR DIGI-PAK

For the front cover of my Album, I was very persistent on having a mirrored silhouette because it's very simple yet effective. I was fascinated with the idea of having an animal coming out of that silhouette to symbolise somones inner animal coming out of them, and because my band album is called "Revolution", what links to that more than your inner animal coming out to fight. I also decided that the linking factor of all my digi-pak photos would be the font of my writing.

back cover

For my back cover, i came up with the idesa of having a teenager throwing up all this garbage, for example fast food, fizzy drinks, pills and ciggarettes because those are most commonly associated with teenagers these days. I also thought that the teen should have the album name coming out of her outh aswell because it's almost like she is rebelling against everyone and doesn't care if she causes damage in the process.

For the four inner pages, i wanted my audience to connect with my band members; because it caters to the teenage market, i decided to put in a mugshot look alike photo of my band members and a fun fact to go with it. Not only does the fact that the photo is a mugshot link into the idea of rebellion and revolution, it also lets target market audience relate to the band members.

I created a lyric page but decided to delete it because I didn't think it added anything to my piece, which was a shame.
