LYRICS ANALYSIS:
Maybe that wonderin', feels good, looks good.
Maybe that harmony, promises happiness.
I'm just a mirror for your love,
takin' it easy for my cool.
I'm just a mirror for your love.
Beautiful, modesty.
Beautiful, symmetry.
Beautiful, promise me,
beautiful, yeah.
I'm just a mirror for your love,
takin' it easy for my cool.
I'm just a mirror for your love.
you promises, you promises.
you promises, you promised.
you promised, your promised, you promised.
I'm just a mirror for your love,
takin' it easy for my cool.
I'm just mirror for love.
love
for your love.
for your love.
for your love.
for your love, love, love, love .
for your love.
I thought that the repetition
of "maybe" could symbolise the uncertainty of the couples relationship, and that they have adopted a habit of pretending if everything looks ok, there relationship is ok.
The repetition of "beautiful" shows there fixation of always having to keep up appearances and to look like they are in love, when they are both hurting inside.
We thought that the lyrics used here could indicate that the couples relationship might look good on the outside but no one knows what is actually going on behind closed doors and just how dysfunctional they are.
Analysis of Cloud Control Music Video

The aerial shot used here is really effective because it allows us to establish exactly what is in the scene at that time, it also makes us feel as though we are watching this from the perspective of a higher power for example God and that this woman is being judged.
This extreme close up allows us to see exactly what the female protagonist is feeling in this scene. We realise that this story is following her as we are taken into her personal space.
The beauty shot used here allows the female appea "ageless" to the viewers. Also the pull focus from her to the man standing outside the window creates a sense of danger and changes the atmosphere completely.

This shot is also very interesting, a medium close up which indicates the different moods both the characters are feeling at this moment in time. The wioman seems to be sad whilst the male figure looks very sinister and smug.
The shot used here is a medium close up and it emphasises the sadness the character feels, the lighting is also quite dark and low in order to highlight the tense atmosphere.
This shot is very interesting and sinister because we have no idea if he is a hero or villain. The light from outside is on the left side of his face which is a really effective medium close up shot.
This wide shot emphasises the joy and happiness coming from all the characters. It also highlight the space of the location they are in and what it is that they are doing.
The close up shot from the back of the protaganist head conveys that she is in charge of this story and she is showing us what she wants us to see.
