Handheld camera movements is used in order to give us the idea that this couple are in control of their relationship. But you could also say that because of the disorientated feeling of the camera that this relationship is unstable.
The lighting is very bright and made to seem as though it is natural lighting to make this relationship as realistic as possible and also making the female artist look younger and appear "ageless".

There is a heavy use of bright colour creating a comic book effect and also the credits make it seem playful and vibrant.
The beautiful landscapes and establishing shots allows us to know where they are and gives us a clue as to what is going to happen in this music video.
The use of the bold and vibrant colours appeals to the teenage market and also creates a sense of youth and fun, which is the opposite of what happens in this music video.
The editing used establishes the western essence this video is trying to create. It is also very slick and appealing to the eye which captures viewers attention.
The lead character is first shown tied up in the middle of the desert, and there is also a lot of handheld camera filming used which tells us that we are seeing this story from someone else's perspective and not our own.
There is a heavy use of jump cuts and panning to emphasise the couples quick lifestyle which further conveys their youth and young vibe.
